As well as local collections of articles for everyday use, the area's industrial history is documented in two exhibitions: Gemla's 250 year old paper-mill traditions (Gransholm's Paper-mill 1802-1979) and the Toy Museum showing wooden toys produced in Gemla over a period of 100 years. (Sweden's first toy factory started in Gemla 1866). The author and Nobel Prize winner Pär Lagerkvist has his roots in this area. His life and works are also depicted here.
