Växjö is one of 34 cities in 14 countries qualified to the final in WWF global climate campaign Earth Hour City Challenge 2014. The global winner will be presented March 27. At the same time, Växjö will celebrate Earth Week

CO2 statistic 2012
We are happy to present that during 2012 Växjö has reduced the fossil carbon dioxide emissions by 41 percent per inhabitant from 1993. The share of renewable energy is 60 percent. The targit is to reduce the emissions of fossil CO2 by 55 percent per inhabitant to 2015.
