For students
You can register in the student housing queue from the year you turn 17. The student housing queue is free of charge and you get one queue point for each day you are in the queue.
Applications
You can submit up to three applications at a time. If you have already submitted three applications and are interested in an additional apartment, you must delete one of your current applications.
How to submit an application
- Log in to "My pages". External link.
- Apartments in the student housing category External link. (studentbostad) are distributed according to queue points. Select your desired apartment.
- Click on the "Intresseanmäl" (Apply) button and fill in your information. You can submit up to three applications at a time.
- In the student housing queue, the six applicants with the highest number of queue points will be invited to attend a viewing. When the application deadline for an apartment has expired, the housing agency contacts the person with the most queue points and offers them the apartment.
- If you sign a lease for student housing, your points will be reset to zero and you will need to re-register for the student housing queue to begin collecting points again.
Regardless of which student housing you choose, you will only be required to pay rent for 10 months out of the year. The summer months are rent free.
